Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) technology is a

system[] that allow[s] vehicles to communicate with each other and with roadside stations. Networks of vehicles can help avoid congestion, finding better routes and aid law enforcement.[1]

Overview[]

"V2V connections are thought important because they will enable AVs to rapidly respond to other cars on the road, although both the need for this and the precise form of the connectivity remains uncertain."[2]
