An unmanned ground system (UGS) is
| “ | a powered physical system with (optionally) no human operator aboard the principal platform, which can act remotely to accomplish assigned tasks. UGS may be mobile or stationary, can be smart learning and self-adaptive, and include all associated supporting components such as operator control units (OCU). Integration of UGS enabled by add-on mission module payloads to the other military domains is an essential part of future DoD operations, not only from a system perspective, but also from a joint-service and coalition perspective.[1] | ” |
