European Union[]

A third party is

any natural or legal person, public authority, agency or any other body other than the data subject, the controller, the processor and the persons who, under the direct authority of the controller or the processor, are authorised to process the data.[1]

General[]

A third party is a person or entity who is not involved in an interaction or relationship.

United Kingdom[]

A third party,

in relation to personal data, means any person other than —

(a) the data subject,

(b) the data controller, or

(c) any data processor or other person authorised to process data for the data controller or processor.[2]
