Definitions[]

Terminal equipment is

[a]ny equipment capable of sending and/or receiving information over a communications channel.[1]
[c]ommunications equipment in place at each end of a circuit to permit the stations involved to accomplish the mission for which the circuit was established.[2]
[a] device or devices connected to a network or other communications system used to receive or transmit data. It usually includes some type of input/output device.[3]
