U.S. trademark law[]

A senior user of a trademark or service mark is the first entity to adopt and use the mark anywhere in the United States.[1] "The [senior user] . . . has the right to enjoin 'junior' users from using confusingly similar marks in the same industry and market or within the senior user’s natural zone of expansion."[2]
