Overview[]

In 2004 the Sasser computer worm affected computers running the Microsoft Windows operating system. As a result of the worm, a number of computer systems were disrupted, including those of Delta Airlines that had to cancel several trans-Atlantic flights and the British Coastguard's electronic mapping services.[1]
