Data
A repository is a location for secure storage, often for archival purposes.
Security
A repository is a database of active digital certificates for a certification authority system. The main business of the repository is to provide data that allows [[user]s to confirm the status of digital certificates for individuals and businesses that receive digitally signed messages. These message recipients are called relying parties. CAs post certificates and CRLs to repositories.
