General[]

A remotely piloted aircraft (also called remotely operated aircraft) is "[a]n unmanned aircraft which is piloted from a remote pilot station."[1]

Military[]

Remotely piloted aircraft (also called remotely operated aircraft)

refers to large unmanned systems such as the MQ-1 Predator and the RQ-4 Global Hawk that operate in controlled airspace.[2]
