General[]

The private sector refers to

[n]on-governmental organizations such as commercial and academic entities.[1]
[o]rganizations and entities that are not part of any governmental structure. The private sector includes for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, formal and informal structures, commerce, and industry.[2]

Telecommunications[]

The private sector means

those sectors of non-government entities that are users of telecommunications services.[3]
