Overview[]
This Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) examines the privacy implications of the United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team's (US-CERT's) EINSTEIN Program in accordance with Section 208 of the E-Government Act and the guidance for PIAs issued by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
This PIA addresses for the EINSTEIN Program:
- What and why the information is being collected; o The intended use of the agency information;
- With whom the information will be shared; o What notice or opportunities for consent would be provided to individuals regarding information collected;
- How that information is shared and secured; and
- Whether a system of records is being created under section 552a of title 5, United
States Code (the "1974 Privacy Act").
