A Pop-up Message is a form of spam that encourages users of personal computers to install a type of software that makes it vulnerable to Organized Attacks, or Targeting Software.
Specific types of Pop-up Messages are:
- A Spyware Worm or Attachment that tries to disguise itself as a business ad or Selling/download message that tries to get the user to download malicious Spyware, Key-strokers, Viruses, and other programs to attack his/her computer.
- An ad appearing to be an important file download to get people to download viruses and spyware.
