Definition[]

A personal protection drone (PPD) is

[a] type of drone, or drone swarm, dedicated to an individual's security. PPDs are non-lethal and may be primarily used to record an encounter or raise an alarm. A use case for a swarm of PPDs may be to hinder the approach of an assailant long enough to facilitate the protected person's withdrawal.[1]
