Overview[]

The Partnership on Measuring ICT for Development was launched in June 2004 by the ITU, UNCTAD, Eurostat, the World Bank and several UN Regional Economic Commissions. It represents the most comprehensive effort to develop, collect and disseminate globally relevant indicators to measure the Information Society.

As an international, multi-stakeholder initiative, the Partnership provides an open framework for coordinating ongoing and future activities, and for developing a coherent and structured approach to advancing the development of ICT indicators globally, in particular in developing countries.
