The Office of National Security Intelligence is part of the Drug Enforcement Administration, within the Department of Justice. It is responsible for intelligence related to illicit drugs entering the United States, including interdiction cooperation with foreign countries.
The ONSI facilitates full and appropriate intelligence coordination and information sharing with other members of the U.S. Intelligence Community and homeland security elements. Its goal is to enhance the U.S.'s efforts to reduce the supply of drugs, protect national security, and combat global terrorism.
