Overview[]
Canada's Office of Critical Infrastructure Protection and Emergency Preparedness (OCIPEP) provides national leadership to help ensure the protection of Canada's critical infrastructure in both its physical and cyber dimensions, regardless of the source of threats and vulnerabilities. OCIPEP is also the Government's primary agency for ensuring national civil emergency preparedness. Close cooperation and information sharing within the security and intelligence community is essential, particularly in relation to threat assessments for information operations or cyber warfare, cyber-sabotage and cyber-crime.
