Overview[]
Established in 2012, the FBI's Next Generation Cyber initiative (NGC) has focused FBI resources on enhancing cyber capabilities by (1) strengthening the NCIJTF, (2) expanding Cyber Task Forces (CTFs) in all 56 field offices and focusing their efforts on computer/network intrusion investigations, (3) increasing information sharing and coordination with the private sector, and (4) bolstering the FBI's cyber workforce.
