Overview[]

The Act codifies the role of the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center as the nexus of cyber and communications integration for the federal government, intelligence community, and law enforcement.

"The Act mandates that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), in coordination with appropriate entities and individuals, develop, regularly update, maintain, and exercise adaptable cyber incident response plans to address cybersecurity risks to critical infrastructure."[1]
