Definitions[]

Microfilm is

[a] film bearing a miniature photographic copy of printed or other graphic matter, usually of a document, newspaper or book pages, etc., made for a library, archive, or the like. Microfilm allows for very compact storage of books and documents.[1]
(1) a fine-grain, high resolution film containing an image greatly reduced in size from the original. (2) the recording of microphotographs on film. (3) raw film with characteristics as in (1).[2]
