Media literacy is

the ability to access the media, to understand and to critically evaluate different aspects of the media and media contents and to create communications in a variety of contexts. It relates to all media, including television, cinema, video, websites, print media, radio, video games and virtual communities. Furthermore, it relates to all informational and creative contents, i.e. all the various texts, images, sounds and messages which we are being confronted with daily and which are an important part of contemporary culture.[1]

General[]

Media literacy is

the ability to "sift through and analyze any information on the web" including that which informs, educates or entertains. Along with navigational skills, media literacy includes the ability to think critically and evaluate all forms of media from video and film to virtual and augmented reality.[2]
