Overview[]
The Director Command, Control, Communications, and Computer Systems, (Joint Staff J-6) provides advice and recommendations about communications system matters to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS). In accordance with (IAW) Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction (CJCSI) 8010.01A, Joint Community Chief Information Officer, the Joint Staff J-6 also serves as the joint community chief information officer (CIO).[1]
