Definition[]

Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) is

[a] term applied to a group of predominantly interactive, electronically delivered training and training support products, to include instructional software, and software management tools used in support of instructional programs.[1]

Overview[]

"Interactive Multimedia Instruction products are teaching and management tools — use them in combination, or individually. Used individually, not all IMI products are considered interactive, multimedia, or instructional. However, IMI products, when used in combination with one another, are interactive, multimedia, and instructional."[2]
