Overview[]
The Intelligence Collection Group (ICG) was formed within the U.K. Defence Intelligence Staff (DIS) on June 1, 2006. The ICG is commanded by an Air Commodore and employs approximately 3,100 staff, of which two thirds are military. Its mission is to deliver intelligence, information, services and force elements to the Ministry of Defence, including deployed forces, and to other government departments and international partners underpinning strategic to tactical level decision-making and action in order to support the achievement of MOD objectives.
