The Institut de la Gouvernance des Systèmes d'Information (IGSI) was created in 2004 by the Association Française de l'Audit et du conseil Informatique (AFAI) together with the Club Informatique des Grandes Entreprises Françaises (CIGREF). Together the two associations organize conferences and create publications on the governance of information systems.
