Information exchange analysis is a

process used to identify and document the context and content of information exchange between business partners and their information systems. Context includes: who is involved (what agencies/organizations), why the exchange is taking place (business process), and when it takes place (business events and conditions). Content identifies what information is being exchanged. Both context and content of information exchange provide key elements used to build rules within a privacy policy.[1]
