U.S. Air Force, Information Operations (Air Force Doctrine Document 2-5) (Aug. 5, 1998) (full-text).
Overview[]
The execution of information operations in air, space, and, increasingly, in "cyberspace" constitutes the means by which the U.S. Air Force does its part to provide information superiority to the nation, joint force commander, and Service component and coalition forces.
This Air Force Doctrine Document (AFDD) explains the Air Force perspective on information superiority, and the relationship between information operations and its two pillars, information warfare and information-in-warfare. This AFDD focuses its discussion primarily on information warfare.
