On May 30, 2012, the Federal Trade Commission held a one-day workshop titled In Short: Advertising and Privacy Disclosures in a Digital World. The workshop considered the need for new guidance concerning advertising and privacy disclosures in the online and mobile environments. The workshop addressed online disclosure challenges, including making clear and conspicuous disclosures in social media and mobile marketing and making mobile privacy disclosures.
