The New Zealand's Government's Growth for Innovation Framework (GIF) was released in 2003 and targeted three industries — biotechnology, information technology (ICT), and the creative sector (including the fashion, design, film, television and music) — as key contributors to the future economic growth and international competitiveness of the country.
