Overview[]

The French Network and Information Security Agency (Agence Nationale de la Sécurité des Systèmes d'Information) (ANSSI) is a French national authority for the security of information systems. It is attached to the Secretary General of Defense and National Security (SGDSN), who reports to the Prime Minister.

ANSSI is an interagency coordinator of governmental action and its missions include providing secure interagency means of communications, inspecting government systems, acting as a government CERT, providing certification for systems protecting state secrets, acting as an international point of contact and providing training.
