Overview[]
In response to the legislation and the published guidelines, OMB identified the following policies and procedures for ensuring and maximizing the quality, objectivity, utility, and integrity of information disseminated by OMB; and it establishes additional procedures for affected persons to seek and obtain correction of information maintained and disseminated by OMB that does not comply with standards set out in the Government-wide Guidelines. These guidelines are intended to ensure and maximize the quality of information disseminated by OMB. Through these OMB guidelines, OMB establishes as its performance standard a goal of disseminating information consistent with the Government-wide Guidelines and these OMB guidelines.
