The E-payroll Initiative standardizes and consolidates Government-wide Federal civilian payroll services and processes by simplifying and standardizing human resources (HR)/payroll policies and procedures and improving integration of the payroll, HR, and finance functions.
The initiative benefits agencies by permitting them to focus on mission related activities rather than on administrative payroll functions. Payroll processing costs are reduced through economies of scale and avoiding the cost of duplicative capital system modernization activities.
