Overview[]

The mission of Digital Italy Agency (Agenzia per l'Italia Digitale) (AgID) is to manage the implementation of the Italian Digital Agenda's objectives, in coherence with the EU Digital Agenda, and to contribute to the diffusion of new information and communication technologies, with the aim of fostering innovation and economic growth.

AgID coordinates the activities of the state, regional and local administration, designing and monitoring the evolution of the IT system of the Public Administration (P.A.). It defines guidelines, regulations and standards and designs and coordinates strategic initiatives for an effective provision of online services to citizens and businesses by the P.A. ["public administrations"].
