Portugal's Digital Agenda 2015 seeks to improve the quality of the services provided to Portuguese citizens and businesses, through the use of new generation networks and support to the export of goods and services by the country's businesses. It is hoped that the Digital Agenda will stimulate the development and use of the Digital Economy both by citizens and businesses, promoting the production of goods, services and competitive solutions aimed at global markets.
It comprises five interventions areas:
- Next-generation networks (NGNs);
- Better government in terms of citizen and business access to public services;
- Excellence in education;
- Health at the local level; and
- Smart mobility.
The document further lists 26 measures, some of which are currently under implementation.
