Denigration involves

[s]etting up accounts pretending to be people in order to humiliate them; sending or posting gossip or rumours about a person to damage his or her reputation or friendships, e.g., the creation of "Hate" websites, the posting of jokes, cartoons, gossip and rumours, all directed at a specific victim; posting harmful, untrue and/or cruel statements or pictures, and inviting others to do the same, or to comment on them.[1]
