De-identify

is a form of anonymization that does not attempt to control data once it has had it PII identifiers removed, so it is at risk of re-identification.
means that the company must achieve a reasonable level of justified confidence that the data cannot reasonably be used to infer information about, or otherwise be linked to, a particular consumer, computer, or other device.[1]
