The Data Quality Principle is

one of the eight Fair Information Practice Principles (FIPPs) developed by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). According to this principle, personal data should be relevant to the purposes for which they are to be used and, to the extent necessary for those purposes, should be accurate, complete, and up to date.[1]
