Overview[]

In 2012, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) established a Records Working Group (RWG) to evaluate complex information sharing questions and represent the Department while negotiating ISAAs with the intelligence community and other information sharing partners.

The RWG is chaired by an I&A representative in support of the I&A Under Secretary’s role as Information Sharing Executive Agent at DHS. The DHS Privacy Office plays a key role in this group, together with CRCL and the Office of the General Counsel (OGC). Component data stewards are also members of the RWG.
