The Cyberspace Integration Group is an oversight council that was established by the DoD to: (1) monitor the implementation plan of the National Military Strategy for Cyberspace Operations; (2) ensure that the implementation plan is coordinated amongst the members and combatant commands; (3) seek consensus on cyberspace policy; (4) present recommendations; and (5) mediate disputes.

The Group is co-chaired by the Joint Staff and the U.S. Strategic Command and consists of three-star general/flag officers or their representatives and members from the Joint Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, U.S. Strategic Command, U.S Joint Forces Command, military services, Defense Information Systems Agency, National Security Agency, and U.S Special Operations Command.
