This paper is an up-to-date companion to the information on cyber protests and hacktivism presented in the paper "Cyber Protests: The Threat to the U.S. Information Infrastructure," This paper focuses on the events that occurred since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and the resulting rise in threats to the U.S. information infrastructure, to include the potential for distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
