Overview[]

The Cross-Jurisdictional Chief Information Officer Committee (CJCIOC) (Australia) addresses e-government issues that span national, state and local jurisdictional boundaries. CJCIOC seeks to promote, facilitate and reach agreement on implementing national strategic approaches to ICT across-governments. The Committee reports directly to the Online and Communications Council, which operates as a high-level ministerial forum to consider and reach agreement on strategic approaches on information and communications issues of national importance. Membership of the CJCIOC includes chief information officers or equivalent from each state and territory of Australia and the Australian Local Government Association. New Zealand has observer status. The CJCIOC is chaired by the Australian Government Chief Information Officer.
