The Conseil Stratégique des Technologies de l'Information (CSTI) (General Council of Information Technology (ITMC)) was a French institution established by Decree No. 96-1092 of 13 December 1996. It was one of the elements of the 1996 reform in the telecommunications sector, reform whose main components were the Telecommunications Regulatory Act, the change of status of France Telecom and the connection to the state of public institutions Higher Education Telecommunications.
It was merged with the General Mining Council by Decree No. 2009-64 of 16 January 2009 to create the General Council of Industry, Energy and Technology (CGIET).
