Established in 1959, the Conference of European Posts and Telecommunications (Conférence Européenne des Administrations des Postes et Télécommunications) (CEPT) is an organization of national posts, telegraphs and telephone administrations in Europe.
It was the primary European body for telecommunications standards Until 1988, when its work was take over by ETSI.
