The OECD Committee on Consumer Policy was established in 1969. It brings together senior consumer policy and enforcement officials from OECD governments, along with experts from civil society, trade unions and the business. It works to promote efficient markets, product safety and truthful marketing practices and seeks to ensure the highest standards of safety, fairness and transparency of the OECD members, focusing on e-commerce cross-border consumer issues.
