Overview[]

The Cloud Select Industry Group (C-SIG) was established by the EU Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology, Software and Services, Cloud Unit, with representatives from major European and multi-national companies and organizations with significant involvement in cloud computing. Its purpose is to provide independent validation and advice on proposals related to cloud computing being considered by the European Commission.

Cloud computing[]

In February 2013, the European Commission, DG CONNECT set up the Cloud Select Industry Group on Service Level Agreements to work towards the development of standardisation guidelines for cloud computing service level agreements between cloud providers and cloud service customers.

In June 2014 the C-SIG SLA subgroup finalized its work and issued it as the Cloud Service Level Agreement Standardisation Guidelines.
