Computer system

The term browse is "[a]ct of searching through IS storage to locate or acquire information, without necessarily knowing the existence or format of information being sought."[1]

Internet

The term browse (also called browsing) refers to a user's movement across the Internet, moving from page to page via hyperlinks, using a web browser.
