The Autorité de Régulation des Communications Electroniques et des Postes (ARCEP) is the independent telecommunications regulator in France. France’s telecommunications sector is governed by the Telecommunications Law of July 9, 2004, relating to electronic communication and audiovisual communication services, which amended the 1996 Telecommunications Act and incorporated the EU’s 2003 regulatory framework for electronic communications into French national law.
