The NITRD AI R&D Interagency Working Group (IWG) coordinates Federal R&D in AI; it also supports and coordinates activities tasked by the Select Committee on AI and the NSTC Subcommittee on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. This vital work promotes U.S. leadership and global competitiveness in AI R&D. The NITRD AI R&D IWG spearheaded the update of this National Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Strategic Plan.
