Overview[]
This directive establishes U.S. Army policy for the creation, acquisition, use, maintenance, and protection of data (technical data, computer software documentation, computer software, copyrights, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets subject to IP legal protections), and the associated license rights to use, modify, reproduce, release, perform, display, or disclose such data in support of acquisition and sustainment of Army materiel and non-materiel (solutions or systems).
