Overview[]
The Army Battle Command System (ABCS) is the Army's approach to automating its tactical [C2 system]]s for component and joint operations. It is intended to give commanders from unit of employment to brigade/brigade combat team and below a common picture of the battlespace and to facilitate synchronization of combat forces in joint environments. ABCS consist of several major battlefield functional C2 systems intended to improve interoperability among Army, joint, and multinational forces. The subsystems include the Maneuver Control System, Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below, the Forward Area Air Defense Command and Control System, the All Source Analysis System, the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System, and the Combat Service Support Control System.
