Overview[]

The Act gives courts the authority to order the forfeiture, cancellation, and/or transfer of domain names registered in “bad faith” that are identical or similar to famous, distinctive or special trademarks. The Act provides for statutory civil damages of at least $1,000, but not more than $100,000 per domain name identifier.
