Overview[]
This report concluded that its 1995 findings regarding the overall vulnerability of the public network (PN) are still valid — old vulnerabilities are still being exploited, even though fixes are readily available for most of those discovered; vulnerabilities in many of the PN's diverse technologies (e.g., SS7, IN, ATM, and SONET) remain unaddressed; and technologies and networks are highly interconnected.
